Once in Ljubljana (You Only Ljubljana Once)
You Only Ljubljana Once (YOLO) was a slogan of Erasmus parties in one of Ljubljana's discotheques. For approximately half a year I was documenting partying Erasmus's students from around the world which came to Ljubljana for new experiences. Through my photography I was trying to concentrate on individual in the moment of total freedom and relaxation. That's because many students on the Erasmus exchange program make their first steps into independent life and for some time detach themselves from their families and friends at home.
In my work I wasn't interested in splendour and vivaciousness of the party, but rather in interactions and feelings of individual here and now.
The project was in 2017 presented as a solo exhibition in Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova as part of a project Peter Rauch: Paviljon.
It was also presented in form of a photobook under the mentorship of Simon Chang.
